Boston based mezzo-soprano Roselin Osser is quickly gaining a reputation as a dynamic singer and actress.  In 2011, she was selected as a finalist in the Just Love to Sing! opera competition and received first place in the Maine NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition.  There, judges noted her "beautiful, rich tone quality," "great fluidity and vibrancy," and "wonderful presence and command of the stage."  Praised for her comic timing, Osser has particularly excelled in character roles including Satirino in Cavalli's La Calisto and an ugly stepsister in both Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Massenet’s Cendrillon.  She was seen most recently in the role of the Prince of Monte Carlo in The Grand Duke with the MIT Gilbert and Sullivan Players.

With a passion for music but committed to environmental conservation, Osser completed degrees in engineering in parallel to her vocal studies.  She now works as a building energy engineer while continuing to study and perform opera.  Osser is currently a student of acclaimed singer and director Richard Conrad.  She lives in Watertown with her husband, engineer/musician Jason Kessel.
